Review

This review applies to version 1.0 The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our informers.

PCR Editor is a program that allows you to edit presets for controllers. It was developed to use with MIDI Keyboards of PCR series. The controllers could be programmed with buttons on Edirol PCR panel, but it is handier to use this special editor. PCR Editor is usually included in package, or it can be downloaded as a standalone application. It is easy to understand how the program works. The interface is similar to the upper panel of MIDI-keyboard Edirol of PCR series. The developer has thought the matter through to the smallest details. For example, when you select the command Communication-Transmit, the Editor reminds you which buttons you have to press on Edirol PCR in order to choose the appropriate mode. Therefore, you don’t need keeping manuals at hand. Using this program you can create control maps and make assignments to any controls. It allows to save the necessary quantity of controls (parameters’ maps, assigned to different buttons) and exchange with other PCR users. Besides, you can generate the list of parameters assigned to every control. The packages of settings created with PCR Editor are saved as MIDI files and loaded into the keyboard memory.
Advantages
  • Intuitive user interface.
  • Unlimited numbers of control maps.
  • Handy in use.
  • Export assignments to HTML file.
Disadvantages
  • Not found.
